A Few Thoughts

I was able to get out and go for a hike in the woods. As you know, that’s one of my favorite activities.

I found the coolest tree while I was hiking and it really resonated with me. It’s large with deep roots so I could tell it was an older tree. I felt a connection with this tree because I see parts of me in it.

Like this tree, I’m also getting older. I’ve realized that life is filled with all kinds of stuff. But the older you get, like this tree, the more extensions (or branches) you create. The more of these you have the more gnarly stuff you might have going on. But you also become wiser.

I’m still continuing to gain wisdom, just like you. I fractured my elbow 3 weeks ago. I have to have surgery to pin it together. I’m on the mend but still have a lot of work ahead of me. I’m using it as a learning opportunity.

I want to share what I’ve learned with you. And that’s going to be a part of my upcoming group program. I have added a new module on when bad things happen.

We’ll dive into how you take care of yourself and how you handle your head in these situations. I know from my experience with my elbow that, my head did not have good things to say to me.

In the past, I would have used food to comfort myself. So, I’m going to coach on this topic in the group program, so you’ll have the tools to handle these kinds of situations without relying on food to get you through them.
