Most of us aren’t taught how to think about ourselves in a healthy way — mostly we’re taught to compare, to belittle and condemn ourselves instead. Rarely are we taught to honor, to respect and to appreciate our minds and bodies for the miraculous things they do.
As a woman who’s struggled with her weight for decades, I can easily relate.
I’ve been the “thin” doctor and I’ve been the “overweight” doctor throughout my career. I’ve loved the compliments on my weight loss and missed them terribly when they stopped.
In my logical mind, I knew all the right things to do and I even used to counsel my patients on proper nutrition and eating a balanced diet. But still, I’ve gained and lost over 250lbs in my lifetime.
I started dieting when I was 12 and stopped at 50 — that’s 38 years of obsessing about my weight and food… 38 years!
I work with women in menopause end their struggle with weight and ultimately help them reconnect with and manifest their truest desires.
I do this through a mix of brain science, nutrition, physiology, life coaching and teaching that real weight loss, lasting weight loss, starts from within.
I was in my 50’s when I started my last round of weight watchers (I was a lifetime Weight Watchers member for 30 years) to lose the same 20-30lbs for the hundredth time and found myself with one big NEW problem..
The weight wasn’t coming off like it had before – I’d been depressed and I wasn’t sleeping… That’s when my doctor said, “Welcome to menopause!”
Instantly I knew there HAD to be a better way!
So I read, and I researched… and I lost myself into what was the beginning of a new life and career path for me.
It turned out to be the last time I would have to lose weight again.
And then, I created a program…
