There was a time when I used to tell myself that I categorically did not exercise in winter. I believed it was simply not something I did. It was concrete in my brain; a cold, hard truth. Except it wasn’t true, it was just a belief that I’d thought for so long that it became a fact to me.
When you believe a thought for a long time, it solidifies in your brain as a fact. So many of my clients believe that what they’re thinking is the truth, and they don’t realize how these erroneous thoughts aren’t serving them. To change this, you first have to acknowledge that your thoughts are just stories you’re telling yourself.
