I want you to consider something. How do you talk to yourself when you want to do something that you’ve never done before, or when you want to do something you’ve thought about a lot and have never done? How do you talk to yourself about losing weight?
So many of my clients tell me that they are TRYING to lose weight. They are TRYING to eat when they’re hungry and stop when they are full. They are TRYING to change the way they think about food. But I don’t think there is any other word that can create less of the results you want than the word ‘trying’.
Join me this week as I share why you need to stop saying that you are TRYING to lose weight, and what you should start telling yourself instead. I’m sharing a tool to help you cultivate more self-compassion, and showing you why changing the way you think and speak to yourself will help you take the necessary action to get the results you want.
