I want to talk to you all about emotion and the scale. We’ve discussed before that the scale is just meant to be a tool to aid you but when you feel that the number on it isn’t going down fast enough, it can start getting in the way of that emotion, specifically patience.
Why do I want to talk about patience in particular? Because when you think things are going too slow, it leads to frustration and disappointment, and what do you do to make yourself feel better? You eat, and all that does is 1. Make you feel bad about yourself; and 2. Hinders the process even more. Our minds are tricky things when we have that sense of urgency, but you need to remember that all the scale can do is give you a number. The feelings that come with it need to be fixed by you, and I am here to help.
