Last week, I talked about the Thinner Peace Holiday Challenge where I challenged my listeners to use food journaling to track their physical hunger scale over the next four weeks. And over the course of time, I’ve begun to realize that a lot of people like to make food journaling harder than it has to be because they attach the wrong kind of emotions to it, and in turn, makes them too scared, too anxious to do anything.
In this week’s special episode, Jayna, one of my listeners who is taking on my holiday challenge, is joining me on the podcast to openly share her struggles with food journaling. As an emotional eater, Jayna had trouble with allowing herself to stop and acknowledge her emotions that stem from food. In the beginning, she was afraid to do the emotional work, but she’s finally taking the first step of writing it all down.
As she steadily progresses in her food journaling, Jayna is now learning to be more curious and compassionate with herself and it’s making her a happier person for it. Make sure to listen in on this episode because I’m sure many of you will be able to relate to Jayna’s experiences and might be able to learn something from her. Enjoy!
