My path to becoming a certified master weight loss and life coach has been anything but linear. I started with traditional approaches to health—diet plans, exercise routines, and even Weight Watchers. But over the years, especially through my experiences with menopause, I realized that my approach needed to shift.
As I started to shift my perspective, I discovered that real change came from addressing these underlying issues. It’s not just about what we eat, but why we eat and how we feel about ourselves.
I explained the importance of eating mindfully—understanding if you’re really hungry or just eating because of emotions. I also compared menopause to a “second adolescence” and suggested connecting with your body and feelings instead of turning to food for comfort. I gave tips on adding ‘joy foods’ (foods you love) into a healthy diet and stressed trusting yourself with food choices.
