Do you ever notice how you talk to yourself when you’re trying to lose weight? Is it kind or critical? In today’s episode, we’re looking at the way you treat yourself—especially when the number on the scale isn’t what you want it to be.
I share a personal story from my rainy walk today, and how even that ties back to managing your mind. We dive into three core concepts that help create peace with food, body, and self during menopause—self advocacy, unconditional self-love, and self-acceptance. I also talk about how these ideas helped me lose weight for good after I stopped dieting and started listening to my body. And even though I’m now in my 70s, these practices are still helping me—so much so that I’m starting to explore what I’m calling 70-o-pause (because turning 70 deserves a pause too).
If you’re struggling with self-criticism, especially when it comes to your weight, you don’t want to miss this episode. Enjoy the show!
