Have you ever found yourself saying “I paid for this, so I might as well finish it” while holding your aching belly on vacation?
I just came back from a beautiful Scandinavian vacation with my family, and I want to share something that really struck me. Meal after meal, I heard the same things – “Oh, I’m so full, but I have to finish this” or “I paid so much for this, I might as well eat it.” It reminded me how much we all tend to override our bodies, especially when we’re on vacation or celebrating something special. I had this conversation with my 10-year-old grandson Sebastian that really opened my eyes to how natural it is for kids to see the consequences of not listening to their bodies. I want to talk about my centerpiece process and why your body doesn’t know it’s on vacation – it still tells you when it’s hungry and when it’s full.
