Have you ever wondered why children seem to know exactly when they’re hungry and when to stop eating, while you struggle with the same basic instincts?
In this episode, I will explain how menopause changes your relationship with hunger and introduces the physical hunger scale that goes from -10 (starving) to +10 (stuffed). I will share why your metabolism decreases with age but your emotions increase, making it harder to distinguish between physical and emotional hunger. The goal is to eat when you’re at -2 (a gentle whisper of hunger) and stop at +2 (light satisfaction), rather than waiting until you’re screaming with hunger or eating until you’re uncomfortably full. I will use examples from my chiropractic practice to show how we should listen to our body’s whispers instead of waiting for it to scream, just like we do with our children and grandchildren.
Tune in to learn how to become a “body whisperer” and start honoring the physical sensations in your body for better results in menopause. Enjoy the show!
