Two Types of Coming Back Every Woman in Menopause Needs to Master

PODCAST EPISODE 493

What happens when you’ve successfully come back to eating between the twos and mostly fuel foods, but the scale refuses to cooperate? This episode tackles the frustrating reality many women face during their comeback journey.

I share a real coaching moment from my recent Thinner Peace in Menopause group where a client thought she needed help coming back to her eating habits. Through our conversation, we discovered she had already mastered the physical comeback – eating when hungry at negative two, stopping when full at plus two, and choosing mostly fuel foods. Her real struggle was coming back mentally from the scale disappointment and the two thoughts that sabotage most comebacks: “it’s not working” or “it’s too slow.” We explore how the Comeback Tool isn’t just about returning to your body after overeating, but also about managing your mind around expectations. I explain why the scale moves differently in menopause, how eating at negative ones instead of negative twos can stall progress, and why stronger urges are normal after a period of overeating.

Listen to this episode to learn how to handle both sides of the comeback process and set realistic expectations for your weight loss journey in menopause. Enjoy the show!
