Dr. Laurie Marbas, MD, MBA is a double-board-certified family and lifestyle medicine 

physician who has been using food as medicine since 2012. She currently holds medical licenses  in all 50 U.S. states plus Washington, D.C. and runs a concierge practice focused on nutrition  and lifestyle interventions. Dr. Marbas co-founded the Culinary Healing community, a  chef-and-doctor partnership where healthy recipes are the prescription. Before that she co-founded Mora Medical and Plant-Based TeleHealth, and she served as the first managing  editor of the International Journal of Disease Reversal and Prevention. She hosts the Habit Healer podcast and previously wrote the Visual Mnemonics series of books to help medical students learn. A graduate of Texas Tech University with dual MD and MBA degrees, she  received the university’s Gold-Headed Cane Award for excellence in the art of medicine and is also a U.S. Air Force veteran, wife and mother of three.
