For those of you who’ve been listening to my podcast for a while, you’ll have picked up the most basic tools I teach, and the holidays are the perfect opportunity to put all that you’ve learned into practice! I want you to ask yourself, are you able to make your own commitments and stick to them, even with all the usual temptations that the holiday season brings?
The next two weeks will provide the best learning ground for you if you use it, so I’m encouraging you to think about this time as though you’re taking a test. The test is based on your mindfulness and knowing the tools I’ve been teaching you, and using them this holiday season for what you decide to eat and not eat. And remember, the way you get an A+ is not by doing everything right, but by learning, and being curious and compassionate with yourself.
Join me this week as I remind you of what I’ve taught you about joy eats and keeping your mind in check, as well as how to maintain your commitment to yourself over the holidays. I’m sharing the importance of self-compassion and curiosity and reminding you that you are totally in control of what you think and how you act. This is the final test – so remember, just because the food is there, doesn’t mean you need to eat it! Don’t let your mind scare you.
