Celebrating is one of my favorite things on the planet – I love to celebrate anything and everything. But the reason I was overweight for so long was that I used to believe that there was no way I could celebrate without overeating and overdrinking; I believed they automatically went together. And I know this is something that so many of my clients also struggle with.
When you associate celebrating with having fun, you lose yourself and overdo it. And when you reach menopause, your body will simply no longer put up with it. But the great news is that you don’t have to choose between celebrating and taking care of yourself – food, drink, and celebration can all go together if you choose to be mindful about them.
