What you eat and why you eat reflects a lot about what you think about yourself, and this is a point that I cannot help but emphasize over and over because you’ll never be able to overcome those urges unless you tackle the root cause of it. Food journaling can help you raise the curtain on what’s going on behind the scenes, and sometimes, you may not like what you see. But that discomfort can help you become stronger and bring you one step closer to the results you want.
To help you with this challenge, I want to share a revelation one of my clients had while food journaling. She was so worried about how to please the people around her that she never bothered to think about her own happiness and well-being. Stop worrying about trying to please other people, and start learning to hold space for yourself to get what you need because you matter.
Thanksgiving is this week and amongst all the celebrations and food, I challenge you to be more mindful and watch yourself. Make yourself a priority just as my client did. Stay tuned!
