When a crying child needs comfort, we comfort them. When a loved one is suffering, we show them compassion. So why do we not treat ourselves with the same care and compassion that we show others when we are struggling with negative emotions?
As women, we are taught to care for others, but we are not taught that showing warm feelings towards ourselves is acceptable. But it’s in these times that we are suffering that we need our own compassion the most, so it’s important to know how to create space and warmth for ourselves when we’re not feeling our best.
Join me this week as I show you how to transform negativity by using self-compassion. Self-compassion is the ability to recognize your own suffering and be empathetic about it, so get ready to discover how this concept can change everything for you with these three steps for using it in your life.
