In this episode we discuss the attitude of gratitude. I go over how grateful I am for you, my listener, and how that makes me want to produce amazing podcasts.

I also share some of my podcast listener reviews and some mini sessions where the people describe how well they’re doing as they’re listening to my podcast. It makes me feel excited to know I’m affecting so many people to change the way they think and treat themselves.

One of my listeners sent this email on self-compassion, and I wanted to share this with you:

Dear, dear Dr. Deb, thanks for approaching me with this matter. I think THE holy grail in this and many more matters is really compassion with one-SELF! It takes hard searching, and lot of time to understand and find it. but once you find it, boy, is it powerful! It is indeed the inner source to energy, positivity, moving forward, breaking bad habits, replacing them with NEW GOOD ones, and just be free, THE INSIDE JOB! It is not just a walk to the grocery, it is a journey, a process full of discoveries, the most important one: YOURSELF! Most of the gals approaching you most probably have an advanced level of nutritional expertise, which is of course an integral part of this process, yet it is only one half of the meaning of “nurturing”, the Hardware, so to speak. The Emotional awareness, the Software, is where really the game begins. Do we know about the bad stuff in that bag of chips? Of course! That knowledge won’t keep us from grabbing it in a pivotal moment, it’s the SELF-COMPASSION that will say: “Hey girl, go easy on yourself! What’s REALLY going on here?” That’s when the real INNER dialogue begins, and replaces the jamming, smothering and quieting the Soul screaming for that attention- voila, the path to THINNER PEACE (TM) Dr. Deb! GRATITUDE and LOVE <3

Many of my clients and myself included, wanted the weight loss results first and then feel grateful. I go over in this podcast why having gratitude first before you lose weight, is paramount to change. I give examples of how gratitude can affect your weight loss and self image.
