Ep 19 Learning to Change the Feelings of Deprivation and Restriction to Lose Weight

PODCAST EPISODE 19

In this episode we discuss the importance of planning a joy eat every day on purpose. I find it freeing for my clients and it also helps them to think they can eat anything they want. Because they can. There is no deprivation or restriction.

I review the different tools we use, and then go over in detail joy eating. The definition of joy eating is to enjoy every single bite and then stop the minute you stop enjoying it.

Many people find out, for the first time, many foods they think are joy foods really don’t taste that good once they really taste without any feeling of guilt. So much fog eating and binge eating is done without really tasting the food. The emotional hunger scale is so negative there really is no tasting of the actual food.

It becomes freeing to realize there is no deprivation, you can eat anything you want as you long as you are mindfully enjoying every single bite.

I also discuss that while you’re losing weight this joy eat is planned every day. Tune in while I discuss why the planning is so important. You really start learning for yourself food has no control over you.
