In today’s episode I talk about the hunger scale and how listening to other sensations in your body, or becoming a body whisperer, can also help you reconnect to your own body to lose weight and feel great.
I taught you the hunger scale in podcast #2 so if you don’t know that, go back and listen. When I refer to becoming a body whisperer in regards to the hunger scale, it means eating at a -2 and stopping at a +2. These are the whispers of hunger and fullness.
If you wait to eat until you are -6 or -8, when your body screams of hunger, and don’t stop eating until you are +6 or 8 when it screams of fullness, the result will be an overweight body.
Once you tune into to your hunger then it’s time to pay attention to the other involuntary sensations your body has such as pain, sleep, and even the urge to go to the bathroom.
So if you’ve been the body screamer for the first half of your life, only listening your body when it screams at you and constantly putting out fires, I want to teach you a much kinder way. Become a body whisperer by listening to the whispers of your body, and taking action much sooner on whatever your body is asking of you.
What you might find is a healthier, leaner, more fit body, and a calmer mind.
Losing weight is so much easier when you learn to listen to all the whispers your body has to offer you.
Enjoy the show.
