In the present, we’ve begun to treat food as not just fuel, but as a way to punish ourselves– including overeating and joy eats. Sometimes, these things happen with being human and all. It’s not something to beat yourself up over. But what you also don’t want to do is get yourself stuck in a never-ending cycle of overeating, shaming yourself, and then try to lose weight. Rinse and repeat.
