PODCAST EPISODE 463

What if I told you that you don’t need a diet to lose weight in menopause? What if your body is already guiding you, but you’ve stopped listening? Today, we’re talking about one simple concept that could change the way you eat forever—learning to eat between the twos.

In this episode, I introduce the Physical Hunger Scale and explain why menopause is the perfect time to reconnect with your body. You’ll learn how to recognize real hunger, why your metabolism slowing down isn’t a bad thing, and how to use a beginner’s mind to shift the way you think about food. If you’ve spent years following diets and ignoring your hunger signals, this episode will help you take the first step toward lasting change.

To make it even easier, I’ve put together a free guide, Jumpstart Your Weight Loss in Menopause, which walks you through everything I discuss today. Grab your copy at drdebbutler.com/change and start reconnecting with your body today. Enjoy the show!

PODCAST EPISODE 462

Do you feel like menopause has made you hungrier than ever? Like no matter what you do, you just can’t stop eating? You’re not crazy, and your body isn’t broken. But I have news for you—it’s not physical hunger that’s driving you to eat.

Last week, I talked about my Physical Hunger Scale—the first tool in my Jumpstart Your Weight Loss in Menopause guide. Today, we’re diving into the second tool: Emotional Hunger. It’s sneaky. It feels real. But it’s NOT the same as true, physical hunger. And if you don’t learn to tell the difference, you’ll keep eating, keep gaining weight, and keep feeling frustrated. I’ll break it all down for you in this episode.

PODCAST EPISODE 460

What does it really take to make weight loss stick? Today, I share Jill’s inspiring transformation. Through coaching, Jill not only lost over 30 pounds but also rewired her relationship with food, emotions, and herself. If you’ve ever felt trapped in a cycle of emotional eating or overwhelmed by life, Jill’s story will resonate.

Jill, a psychologist and successful business owner, had struggled with her weight and emotional eating for years. Despite her knowledge and therapy experience, she found herself in a dark place after personal losses and the stress of the pandemic. Coaching helped her identify the root of her eating habits, rebuild her confidence, and create sustainable changes. Together, we unpacked emotional patterns, reframed her thoughts, and worked through challenges that therapy hadn’t addressed. Her journey goes far beyond food—it’s about self-compassion, mindfulness, and freedom.

If Jill’s story sounds familiar, you don’t have to navigate this alone. Book a mini-session with me at drdebbutler.com/workwithme and let’s start your transformation.  Enjoy the show!

PODCAST EPISODE 459

Have you ever wondered why your success in your career doesn’t seem to extend to your relationship with your body and weight?

In this episode, I read to you a couple of letters from my listeners. I find that many of my clients and listeners alike are professional and successful in all other areas of their lives but their body and their weight. Today I read those letters to you and discuss what to do when you go beyond a -2 in hunger.

Many women have trained themselves to ignore their bodies, and when they start to pay attention it’s already too late. I talk about how to have compassion for yourself, but also how to stand up for yourself and give your body what it needs when it needs it.

The more you do this, the easier it will become, as I always say it takes practice, practice, practice.

Two different letters with different circumstances but the same symptoms. Find out how you can be the professional successful woman in your career and be the successful woman in tuning into that innate body connection that’s always been there. It is possible to do both. You can have it all. Enjoy the show!
