GLP-1s quiet the food noise. I get it. But here’s what I keep seeing the moment the drug comes down, the noise comes roaring right back. Because the brain was never trained. It was just silenced.

I spent 30 years going up and down the same 20 pounds on Weight Watchers. I wasn’t broken. I just never learned how to handle an urge. I learned how to count points. There’s a big difference.

In this episode, I read a beautiful letter from a listener named Josephine who is doing everything she’s supposed to do and still can’t seem to get past her urges. And I want to answer her because I know so many of you are having the exact same conversation in your head.

Here’s what I want you to understand: willpower is not the answer. It never was. What I teach instead is something you can actually build an urge muscle. And just like the gym, you do not start by lifting the heaviest weight in the room.

We are going to talk about why urges are emotions, how to measure them, and how to start allowing them without eating, beginning with the ones that aren’t so hard. Because here’s what I know after coaching women for years: you are already doing this. You just don’t know it yet.
